Dipolar NMR strategies for multispin systems involving quadrupolar nuclei: (super 31)P{(super 23)Na} rotational echo double resonance (REDOR) of crystalline sodium phosphates and phosphate glasses
Article Abstract:
A robust rotational echo double resonance (REDOR) procedure has been developed to extract reliable site-resolved dipolar coupling information in unspecified multispin systems containing quadrupolar nuclei. Experiments conducted on the glassy sodium phosphates show that the (super 31)P{(super 23)Na} dipolar interaction strengths are differentiable for he various Q(n) sites and increase as the charge of the phosphate moiety increases.

Structural studies of NaP[O.sub.3]-Mo[O.sub.3] glasses by solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance and Raman spectroscopy
Article Abstract:
The development of a comprehensive structural model for glasses in the system NaP[O.sub.3]-Mo[O.sub.3] based on complementary NMR and vibrational spectroscopic experiments are described. Results show a structural rationale for the pronounced compositional dependence of Tg.

Ternary stannides LiTSn4: chemical bonding and physical properties
Article Abstract:
An experiment is conducted where pure samples of ternary stannides are synthesized from elements in sealed tantalum tubes. This is done in order to examine the chemical bonding and the physical properties of the samples.
